🐞 Biodiversity and Library Books 📚
8th May 2024
In Science, 3rd and 4th carried out a biodiversity audit in our school grounds.
We focused on identifying the various trees, flowers, birds and mini beasts that call St.Lassara's their home.
We identified beech, alder and willow trees.
Listened to the sparrow and blackbird's birdsong.
Spotted lots of dandelions, daisies, buttercups and primroses and some beetles, worms and woodlice too.
Later on, we planted some wildflowers in our school garden.
To finish our day, the children visited our school library to enjoy some quiet reading time. 📚🐞🌳
