The children returned to school after a very enjoyable Mid Term Break 🎃
This week, in English and Science, the children were reading and learning about tortoises. The children wrote some excellent factual reports about these fascinating reptiles and in Art, we made replica tortoises from clay. 🐢🐢
In Maths, 3rd and 4th continued their work on multiplication while 2nd focused on their mental maths strategies. On Friday, we played various dice games to further help our multiplication and addition skills.🎲🎲
During our group work on Thursday, the children researched The Colosseum on the iPads. Each group then got an opportunity to present their information to the class. Super 👏
In our Gaeilge this week, we focused on the theme Sa Bhaile. We extended our vocabulary and the children wrote some very entertaining stories. Well done to the children who read their stories so clearly and confidently to the class.
To finish our week, we all enjoyed a very humourous game of bingo as Gaeilge. Congratulations to Zoe and Paschal our bingo champions 🏆 Have a nice weekend everyone 😊
