A Sunny Week with 2nd, 3rd and 4th

19th Sep 2024
What a glorious week! 🌞

This week, in Science we were learning about our teeth and very importantly how to care for them.
In our classroom experiment, we poured different liquids into containers containing eggs and waited for 24 hrs to observe any changes.
Water caused no change, fizzy orange caused some discolouration but we discovered coffee caused the greatest discoloration after 1 day.
Best advice we all agreed,  was to keep brushing our teeth πŸͺ₯

In Maths to link with our place value and number work, the children engaged playfully in groups to create maths problems using picture cards.
The groups nominated a reporter to present to the whole classroom afterwards. Well done children πŸ‘

In our Gaeilge this week, we have been learning to count people and in class to demonstrate this we practiced getting into different sized groups.

With the sunshine and temperatures soaring this week, we took an opportunity to have a little calm creative time with some play dough.

Finally, well done to the 4th class girls and Conor who participated so well in the various football matches in Achonry on Wednesday. πŸ‘πŸ

Enjoy the sunny weather everyone 🌞
