We will be holding an action day on 9th March as part of our work for our Green School Flag - Global Citizenship Marine Environment. We are asking that children dress up as something connected to the Marine - maybe a pirate or a mermaid, a sea creature or a shark! There will be loom bands and buns for sale (50c - €1) to raise money to sponsor a seal as we have been learning about the Irish Grey Seal. The Green school committee members will conduct an experiment to demonstrate the effects of pollution in the sea. We also hope to turn the corridor into an underwater scene with the children's artwork on display. We ask that everyone continue with their efforts to "Ditch the single use plastic" and use a reusable drinks bottle - thank you to those doing this already!
