Busy week with 2nd, 3rd and 4th
13th Sep 2024
What a busy week we had but one we all enjoyed!
On Thursday, we restarted our Buddy Reading.
The children got to introduce themselves again to their reading buddy and for some it was their first introduction. After some chat, the children settled to sharing their books and stories with one another. It was lovely to see how patient and thoughtful the older children were towards our younger pupils. Well done children. π
In Maths, we used our Maths Talk session to identify and explain what was the odd one out.
The children gave a variety of explanations using lots of mathematical language to express their opinions. Super π
In Art, we continued our observational drawings.
We observed the variations in line, colour, shape and textures on a variety of natural materials.
Well done to Oran, who was nominated as our artist of the week. π¨ποΈ
In our S.E.S.E, we were researching on the iPads and learning about the Wonders of the World.
This week, we were researching about the Statue of Zeus in Ancient Greece. The children worked in their groups and learned some fascinating facts.
Today, we enjoyed our GAA coaching with Conor.
The children focused on their running, hand passing and kick passing. Some talented footballers on the yard today. Well done π
Finally , a big thank you to Kyryll's family for a delicious cake which arrived on Thursday.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.π
