February 2022- Spring is in the air!
The window boxes have just come to life with all the lovely spring flowers!
We celebrated Friendship week, we had a brainstorm to help us write some acrostic poems about friendship. The children also made some lovely art to highlight how important friendship is. We are lucky to have our friends!
The weather
We were studying the weather! Lots of storms and snow this month to keep us on our toes. We used rain gauges from old water bottles to measure the rain fall for a week. Some blew over but we found the best spot was tucked up in the tree on the yard.
We celebrated World Internet Safety day, which was a great reminder for both children and adults alike on ways we can make the internet safer to use. It is a great tool but we have to follow the rules to stay safe online.
The Normans
The children made some fantastic efforts to build castles using items they had at home that tied in with our history lessons on the Motte and Bailey in Norman times. Some great architects and engineers!
Valentine’s Day is nice day to remind each other to share the love!
We are looking forward to Book week this week we started going to the school library! Such a joy for the children to choose their own books again.
