First Week in February
6th Feb 2025
February has arrived!
We celebrated the arrival of Spring with some planting of spring flowers and making crosses in honour of St.Brigid.
In our Maths this week, we have focused on time.
The children spent lots of time using their clocks to display various times, converting analogue time into digital time and problem solving time related questions. Great work children 👏⏲️
In History, we focused on the contribution of women. We selected Countess Markievicz for our lesson and discovered lots of interesting facts.
It was great to learn about such an incredible lady that lived so local to us.
In Geography, we were learning about Spain and all things Spanish. Later in the week, the children hung their birdhouses and thank you to Oran for bringing in some bird food. It is good to remember our little feathered friends during the cold weather. 🐦
We continued to focus on procedural writing in our English. We picked out how to give instructions for making a cup of tea as our writing activity. We definitely have some very good tea makers amongst us! 🍵😊
Well done children, another great week.
