Halloween fun.

27th Oct 2024

The last week of school in the run up to the mid term break saw the children enjoying some Halloween activities.  We did "snap apple" and "apple bobbing" both of which were great fun! We drew haunted houses using pastels and chalk and we did a guided drawing session to draw fabulous 🎃 pumpkins!
The junior infants have completed their 1st set of sounds in phonics so we played a game to help test us. There may have been a jellybean under 1 or 2 of the cups.....
The juniors had also made some posters for the sounds last week so we were treated to a phonics fashion show!
Friday saw a whole new group of scary characters arrive at the school! They still managed to do Gaelic training though and later on, because they all knew the poem we have been learning - 5 little pumpkins,  they all got a treat. Have a happy Halloween break! 👻🧛‍♂️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🎃
