Inaugural Ballincarrow Egg Drop Challenge

On Tuesday 28th March at 11.30a.m. we will have our inaugural Ballinacarrow Egg Drop Challenge. There will be an award for the most inventive, original, adventurous idea. Check out some info below:
Materials for the Egg Drop Challenge:
You can use anything you want! Listed below are just some examples of materials you could use.
- cardboard tubes
- newspaper
- old boxes
- paper
- tape, glue, rubberbands
- popsicle sticks
- baggies
- straws
- feathers
- cottonballs
Procedure
- Come up with an idea of some type of container/vessel you can make to protect an egg from the fall off the school roof.
- Draw your design on a piece of paper and get busy making it!
- Mark your name as big as possible on the outside of your container/vessel
- When it comes to the egg, the school will provide eggs on the day
- ONLY ALLOW YOUR CHILD BRING IN AN EGG
- IF DESIGN DOES NOT ALLOW THE EGG TO BE ADDED AFTER CONSTRUCTION OF THE CONTAINER AND IT WILL BE EASILY BROUGHT INTO SCHOOL (MR. BRENNAN WILL EXPLAIN THIS TO THE CHILDREN).
- AND IF YOU ARE DROPPING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL ON THE DAY THEY ARE BRINGING IN THEIR CONTAINER.
NO EGGS TO BE BROUGHT ON THE SCHOOL BUS.
