Between snow,ice, wind, power outages and water shortages it has been a crazy start to 2025! ❄️ ⛈️ ☔️
This week we had band practice and choir practice with the senior room and we are delighted with the progress so far. Well done to everyone for all their practicing. We are looking forward to singing our songs at the Grandparent’s mass on Friday. We also made some St. Brigid’s crosses that will be blessed at mass too.
For maths we had fun measuring desks, books and even our feet. Did you know your foot is the same measurement as your elbow to your wrist? Try it! We used our rulers and metre sticks.
Building Birdhouses- we planned, designed and built a wide variety of birdhouses to hang around the school. The children discussed bird safety, size, waterproof materials and how to attract small birds in order to come up with a good idea. We need to fill up the birdhouses with food so please send in any bird food please! 🐦
The children are starting to use the Chromebooks more often and are practicing their IT skills. These are important skills to learn. They are really enjoying getting time to practice typing their work.
