This week we discussed renewable energy and made solar ovens! We made smores in them. The black paper retains the heat reflected from the tin foil. Luckily it was sunny 🌞 of course we sampled the smores! 2nd class decided to make the longest chain they could out of links. It was too big for the classroom and so they took it outside in the yard! On Friday all the children took part in buddy reading- this was the first week so they introduced themselves to each other and shared a book. It was a very positive experience for all. Friday afternoon offered a chance for a short break and 1st class opted for relaxing in the sunshine whilst 2nd class played dodgeball.
