Disco Tonight: Click here for details of this evening’s Halloween Party in the community centre.

School Closure Friday 24th November: All primary schools teachers are receiving training on the upcoming new maths curriculum ( more info here ) and our school just received notice from the department of our staff training day. We will be closed on Friday 24th November as the staff will be learning all about the new maths curriculum in the Sligo Education Centre. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Goodbye (but not Goodbye): Today was a sad day for the school as it was Mrs. Cryan’s last day on our permanent staff. After the Halloween break she will be taking up the principal release position meaning that she will be back in our school one day per week until the end of this academic year at least. Mrs. Cryan would like to thank the Parents Association for their lovely gift and flowers. The children sang Mrs. Cryan her 2 favourite songs today and I will post photos of a short ceremony we had to mark the day as soon as possible. Since Mrs. Cryan is still part of our staff and school, we will give her a proper send off at a later date.

Board of Management: We have now got 2 parents representatives and 1 teacher representative. If anyone knows someone who might be interested in being treasurer or a community rep, please email me at principal@ballinacarrowns.ie

Midterm: The school will close today and reopen on Monday 6th November.
