Dear parents,

I would like to firstly say well done to all the children on making a fantastic return to school. They have all really settled back into work and having fun. This has led to a noticeably lovely atmosphere in the school. Well done to one and all!

A few important points below:

GOAL Jersey Day: We have signed up to Goal Jersey Day on Friday 11th October. We will collect the money for this through GOAL’s website - click here to access our page. If your child would like to wear their favourite jersey on the day you can donate on this page in advance.

Early arrivals at the school: We have a lovely morning club in place run by Ms. Harding from 8.30am each day. Our start time is 9.15am so please do not leave your child on the yard too early for school unsupervised as our insurance will not cover the liability involved. Contact me at principal@ballinacarrowns.ie if you want to join morning club. Please note - arrangements can be made with Ms. Harding for attending part of morning club.

New Maths Curriculum Closure: A reminder that we will be closed on Friday 4th October for mandatory staff training. For more information on the New Maths Curriculum PLEASE CLICK HERE.

Parents’ Association: The PA will be holding their AGM Tuesday 17th September at 9pm at the school library (beside the infant room). We would encourage any parents interested to come along as a new committee will be selected.

Communion: Our second class will be having their First Holy Communion on Saturday 17th May at 11am.
