November Days

20th Nov 2024

For art this week we looked at warm and cool colours - we painted some wintery watercolours, followed by some “cool” reptile pictures. Do you prefer cool or warm colours?

Last Friday to celebrate the end of “Science Week”, we experimented with lots of household ingredients. We managed to make beautiful skittle patterns and we inflated a balloon with some baking soda and vinegar. Whatever next!? We also experimented with torches to see what materials are transparent, translucent or opaque. The mirrors were great fun!

We had lots of fun trying out some hands on maths resources - making a rectangle from pentominoes, figuring out tangram shapes and making hectagons from lollipop sticks. The geo boards were very popular. Well done on some super maths talk figuring out shapes.

Finally we enjoyed some circuits to keep us moving on yard and in class on these chilly days! Keep it up! The mountain climbers are the toughest!
