This week all the classes have watched clips on how plastic pollution is affecting our oceans. As a result everyone has signed a pledge to dispose of litter carefully and to try to reduce their plastic usage. In 1st and 2nd class the children were grateful to Lisa who brought in a fantastic science kit which helped them explore the effects of plastic pollution in our oceans. As can be seen from the photograph some sinks to the bottom and can be eaten , some collects on the top and wildlife can get tangled in the plastic. We are keeping it under observation to see further results.
