Science, Singing, Stories and Sums

2nd Oct 2024

Another few busy days with 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

In Science we have been learning about our lungs. We discussed their position, their function and how we can look after them.
We also carried out an experiment to discover how leaves help to produce oxygen.

In Music this week, we were practicing our rhythms and also began to sight read music notes. We enjoyed learning Molly Malone and The Rattlin' Bog. Well done to the children who sang so well to a spellbound audience in the
classroom.πŸ‘πŸŽ€

In Maths, we finished our work on data.
We also enjoyed solving some maths puzzles.
It was great to see how engaged the children were trying to find the number using the various operations.

Today, we wrote some very entertaining narratives about spaghetti. We got our inspiration from The Twits and our poem Spaghetti Spaghetti.
It seems spaghetti can cause some problems at dinnertime!
Thank you to the children who read their stories so expressively. Well done everyone. πŸ˜ŠπŸ“š
