and make paper from nettles???
To celebrate science week we had local artist, Karen Webster, in to discuss nature in art and science. We looked at paper made from
nettles and we learned about how to make charcoal.
We looked at different natural materials that were bendy, hard, squishy and rubbery. It was great to discover new materials like willow. The willow branches are very flexible and you can make a basket from willow branches.
We are grateful to Heritage in schools who facilitated and sponsored this science workshop for the whole school.
