Science week.
15th Nov 2023
The children enjoyed the visit today from Karen Webster, an artist of natural materials. We looked at different natural materials and discussed their properties- these included wood, Cork, bark and seaweed! We used charcoal to draw images for the properties. Then we took a closer look at Willow. Willow is a very useful plant and is very flexible/bendy. We all made a circle from the Willow. Some children invented their own games using the Willow. Some made halos 😇, some made collars for their pets , there were also webs and dream catchers! Many thanks to Karen and Heritage in Schools for her visit we all really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot.
