St Lassara's National School Newsletter 22nd September 2023
22nd Sep 2023
Dear Parents/Guardians & School community,
Please read on for some current news from St Lassara's National School.
Teddy Bears Picnic.
On Friday 29th September we invite all the children to bring 1 well behaved teddy to school for a teddy bears picnic. We will provide the children with small treats and a drink and are asking for a donation for North West Hospice, this can be sent in to the school or via Aladdin. We look forward to meeting the (very) well behaved teddies!
School Inspection.
The school has undergone 2 days of Inspection this week with a focus on the teaching and learning of maths in the school. The inspection went very well and the school Inspectors were very complimentary of the hard work done by the children and staff. Well done everybody!
Green Schools Committee.
Congratulations to:
Gearóid, Shay, Lilly, Ava, Jack and Ava who were elected by their classmates to represent them on this years Green School Committee. The theme for the next 2 years is "Global Citizenship & Travel". This should provide us with some great opportunities to look at safe and sustainable ways to travel to and from school. On Monday 25th a travel officer is coming to meet the committee to do a walkability audit. The committee will keep everyone informed via the Green school page on the website.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the weekend!
Jane Harding
