This week the children enjoyed making rice crispie buns - this was part of our science work at looking at the effects of heat on materials. We were amazed at how quick the chocolate started to melt, the white chocolate melted more quickly than the dark chocolate but they all tasted delicious 😋.
We have been learning about Tom Crean , an Irish Explorer who had a fascinating life. 1st class put just some of his life events into a time line. Did you know he ate seagulls and seals to stay alive?
We had a TY student in this week doing work experience and he helped us plant some seeds - carrots, lettuce,  beans and radish. We now have to take care of them and watch them grow!
The infants were working on 3 letter words which we can make with our phonics,  we made them from magnetic letters.
We hope that all the Mammies liked their Valentines cards and clay candle holder. We were proud of how they turned out!
