This week in the Junior Room...
28th Feb 2025
We have been busy as always! We welcomed 2 new classmates Taniya and Dion and hope they will be very happy in our school.
We continued work on changing materials by looking at what would make the best insulator - we wrapped ice cubes in different materials. (It was cotton wool!!)
We made rain gauges to see how much rain fell overnight- 1cm on Thursday night.
We drew some spring flowers and coloured them - they looked fabulous!
In maths we were learning about number 5 in junior infants and number 10 in senior infants. We did lots of talking and activities to help us. 1st class were learning about money using coins - they'll be a great help going shopping!
Sara came into school to do some orienteering with us, we had great fun finding North, south, east and west.
We also played with the magnets and 1st Class made games using the magnets 🧲 for the infants to try the next day.
