This week...
This week in the Junior Room, as well as our usual lessons, we have enjoyed making Mother's Day cards - we used finger prints to create flower petals. This was messy but fun and we were happy with how they turned out.
We all enjoyed World Book Day - we looked at everybody's book in a bag - such great ideas! Emilia even made her own Wally!
We had a zoom meeting where a real author read her book to us and then the illustrator guided us on how to draw the main character. It was really enjoyable. We drew the covers of our favourite books and ourselves reading them.
Some children enjoyed reading their books so much they took them outside to read at break!
The children in 1st and 2nd class received their letters from their penpals in Drogheda. They were delighted to receive them and read them avidly. We will reply to them next week! Finally the 1st and 2nd class darts tournament continued with 2 more matches. There was fierce competition and some great darts thrown including 2 bulls eyes in one player's turn!
